Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled ED Technician to join our team in the Emergency Department at Holy Family Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, vital signs, and specimen collection under the direction of the registered nurse.
  • Assist providers with diagnostic procedures and exams, including visual acuity testing and documentation.
  • Complete daily department stocking and checklists as assigned by the Lead ED Technician or Charge Nurse.
  • Respond quickly and courteously to call lights and patient and family requests.
  • Provide comfort measures for patients in the waiting area, including blankets and ice.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and families, triage nurse, clinical staff, and security.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED preferred.
  • CNA, EMT, or graduate of Medical Assistant program.
  • BCLS required.
  • Demonstrates clinical competency within the scope of practice of applicable certification.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate at the high school level.
