This position involves conducting computed tomography scans and related imaging procedures to generate detailed anatomical images for evaluation by qualified medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient orders and details prior to imaging procedures. Gather comprehensive patient medical histories, review relevant documentation, and effectively communicate with patients.
  • Operate computed tomography machinery and associated tools in accordance with established protocols and safety regulations. Assess pertinent information to select appropriate scanning techniques and position patients to obtain optimal image quality. Administer contrast agents as directed.
  • Review images for diagnostic quality, adjust display settings as necessary, and ensure accurate patient identification. Adhere to radiation safety practices consistently.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, promptly report any equipment issues, and collaborate with service technicians as required.
Qualifications:
  • Essential Credentials:
    • Graduate from an accredited radiography program. Must maintain current ARRT certification and Radiographer Operators Certificate. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required. Advanced ARRT certification in CT is also necessary.
  • Work Environment:
    • Potential exposure to moving machinery, bodily fluids, and infection risks. Occasional contact with chemicals and radiation. Moderate noise levels are typical in the work setting.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to maintain a stationary position as needed. Frequent walking and computer usage are essential. Proficient handling of instruments and devices requiring fine motor skills. Capability to lift and transport items of varying weights. Effective communication with patients and healthcare teams is crucial. Specific visual abilities are necessary.
