Hardware Engineer Opportunity at Verkada

Verkada is the largest cloud-based B2B physical security platform company in the world. Our innovative products include video security cameras, access control, environmental sensors, alarms, workplace, and intercoms, all integrated with a single cloud-based software platform.

As a Hardware Engineer at Verkada, you will contribute to the design and development of new cameras, access control systems, sensors, and other enterprise IoT products. Our engineers own all aspects of the electrical design from prototype through to mass production, making a significant impact on future products.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with experienced engineers to design, debug, and validate our hardware products.
  • Design and execute experiments to test new circuit concepts.
  • Schematic capture and layout for systems and/or test boards.
  • Learn to work with our manufacturing partners to drive ongoing improvements to efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
  • Available for a Winter Co-Op, starting around January 6th, preferably for an extended term (4-12 months).
  • Experience with electronic test equipment, schematic design, and board level validation.
  • Strong communication skills and desire to be hands-on.
