Your Role:

As a Dining Room Attendant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service. Your primary duties will include:

  • Taking and processing food and beverage orders from customers.
  • Ensuring accuracy in all orders and timely delivery to tables.
  • Recommending appetizers and meals based on menu offerings and daily specials.
  • Collaborating with restaurant management to promptly address customer inquiries and enhance their dining experience.
  • Confirming orders with kitchen staff and bartenders as needed.
  • Assisting in setting and rearranging tables to accommodate guests.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of the menu and beverage selections.
  • Upholding cleanliness standards in the dining area, waitstation, and kitchen to meet health regulations.
  • Managing guest checks accurately and securely processing payments.
  • Completing all assigned cleaning and restocking tasks.
  • Participating in pre-meal and departmental meetings to stay informed about products and services.
  • Responding to customer inquiries in a timely and knowledgeable manner.
  • Presenting a professional appearance at all times.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • One year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Basic math skills are essential.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills are required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with MICROS and Square POS systems.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying trays weighing up to 50 pounds, and navigating through various areas of the restaurant. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment:

The position is set in a lively restaurant atmosphere, where noise levels can be high. Employees may encounter hazards such as cuts and slips, and frequent hand washing is necessary.
