About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Runner to join our team at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. As a Food Runner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional food and beverage experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide impeccable service to guests in the Bar & Restaurant, ensuring a positive arrival and strategic management of the floor and flow of the outlet.
  • Support Servers, fellow Food Runners, and leaders during times of service, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Operate various electronic systems, including point-of-sale and inventory management software.
  • Assist with food preparation, presentation, and delivery, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless execution of menu items and special requests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Previous work experience in a free-standing Restaurant/Bar, preferably in a luxury hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate various electronic systems, including point-of-sale and inventory management software.
  • Service Passion for Luxury Hospitality, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of wine and cocktail service, with the ability to make recommendations and pairings.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs, with a flexible schedule and willingness to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
