Job Overview

Position Title: Commercial Foreman

The Project Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective execution of various underground water system initiatives. This position oversees a minimum crew of five and operates under the guidance of the Project Supervisor, maintaining direct communication with clients of Wind River Environmental.

Key Information

  • Location: Orlando, FL
  • Compensation: Hourly wage
  • Work Schedule: Day shift with potential for overtime, on-call duties, and occasional weekend shifts
  • Flexibility: Adaptable schedule and responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise a minimum crew of five personnel
  • Adhere to safety protocols and implement safe work practices in compliance with WRE and DOT standards.
  • Prepare for each service task to enhance efficiency (organizing vehicle, tools, etc.) by conducting daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (checking fluids, tires, supplies, etc.)
  • Identify and document defective septic systems, hazardous conditions on work orders, and offer maintenance recommendations to clients.
  • Timely completion and submission of service quotes and documentation to management as necessary.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls.
  • Advise clients on appropriate maintenance service intervals.
  • Flexibility in job responsibilities as required by company needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret various documents including company policies, safety regulations, operating instructions, and road signage.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and management.
  • Capability to work independently, collaboratively, and lead the crew effectively.
  • Ability to perform under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in email and internet usage.

Minimum Requirements

  • CDL required; must possess a CDL A (or be willing to obtain if currently holding a B CDL)
  • Experience with heavy equipment operation
  • Previous foreman or leadership experience
  • Background in pipeline, septic, or sewer repair
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • A minimum of one year of professional commercial driving experience (post-training).
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening and physical examination.
  • Availability for overtime and on-call duties.
  • Dependable and flexible.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
