We are currently seeking a Lead Systems Engineer with a strong background in radar system evaluation and mode development. This role involves collaboration with a talented team to enhance, test, integrate, and validate software advancements for the Silent Knight Radar System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate significant knowledge transfer from radar Subject Matter Experts.
  • Design innovative radar models, simulations, and algorithms.
  • Collaborate closely with the software team to resolve algorithmic issues.
  • Operate radar systems in a controlled testing environment to verify simulations and software functionality.
  • Analyze flight test data to identify enhancements for algorithms.
  • Present findings and deliverables to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress using an Agile task management system.
  • Validate requirements in a Flight Test Environment.
  • Conduct independent technical analyses to produce high-quality deliverables on schedule with minimal oversight.
  • Engage in a structured Systems Engineering process, emphasizing task-oriented and value-based management.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field, along with 8+ years of relevant experience, particularly in:
    • Radar system evaluation and mode development, including requirements formulation and management, radar algorithm design, and verification and validation of algorithms.
    • General Systems Engineering, encompassing requirements and algorithm development, modeling and simulation, verification and validation, and data analysis.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, NumPy, Octave, SciLab, or MathCAD.
    • An active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is mandatory prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Terrain Following concepts, algorithms, and navigational modes used in special operations.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB (for analysis), DOORS (for requirements), and Synergy/Bitbucket (for configuration management).
  • Experience in requirements verification and validation within a Flight Test Environment.
  • Knowledge of creating deliverables in an Agile development setting.
