Key Responsibilities

The Educational Support Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the instructional program within the classroom. Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting in adapting classroom activities and materials under the guidance of a supervising teacher to support individual learning goals.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing intervention services as directed by the supervising teacher.
  • Facilitating instruction in various individual and group settings to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Supporting teachers in test administration and record-keeping tasks.
  • Assisting students with special needs in daily living skills and personal care.
  • Participating in professional development and collaborative planning sessions.
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents, and community partners.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the Principal to support the school community.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • An Associate's Degree or equivalent educational experience.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good physical and emotional health to support students' diverse needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
