Key Responsibilities
The Educational Support Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the instructional program within the classroom. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in adapting classroom activities and materials under the guidance of a supervising teacher to support individual learning goals.
- Monitoring student progress and providing intervention services as directed by the supervising teacher.
- Facilitating instruction in various individual and group settings to reinforce learning objectives.
- Supporting teachers in test administration and record-keeping tasks.
- Assisting students with special needs in daily living skills and personal care.
- Participating in professional development and collaborative planning sessions.
- Building positive relationships with students, parents, and community partners.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Principal to support the school community.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An Associate's Degree or equivalent educational experience.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Good physical and emotional health to support students' diverse needs.
