Role Overview:
As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you will lead the technical evaluation process in a hands-on capacity throughout the sales cycle. You will play a pivotal role within the sales team, serving as a technical consultant and collaborating with the product team to advocate for your clients in the field. Your mission will be to assist our clients in achieving measurable outcomes with Materialize, establish a clear architectural vision, identify compelling use cases, and help them realize substantial value. This position offers an opportunity for you to grow as a leader in your domain while addressing our clients' most pressing challenges.
Qualifications:
- Experience in pre- or post-sales roles working with external clients.
- Demonstrated expertise in data-related fields such as data engineering, architecture, or data science.
- Proficient in conveying technical concepts through presentations and whiteboarding sessions.
- Strong skills in SQL and familiarity with scripting languages like Python.
- Become an authority on advanced streaming and database systems.
- Guide clients through the evaluation and adoption of Materialize.
- Support customers by creating reference architectures, how-to guides, and demonstration applications.
- Engage with the technical community, both internally and externally, by leading workshops, seminars, trade shows, and meet-ups.
- Collaborate with your Account Executive to build successful relationships with clients, delivering both technical and business value.
- Extensive experience with SQL databases, Flink, Kafka, and other data infrastructure technologies.
- Background in high-performance, high-availability systems.
- Experience with cloud-based products.
