Key Responsibilities

Project Planning:

Define the scope, objectives, and deliverables of electrical projects.

Create comprehensive project plans that encompass schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • Ensure material availability to prevent work stoppages.

Team Leadership:

Direct and coordinate the project team, which includes engineers, electricians, and subcontractors.

Assign responsibilities, track progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Financial Management:

Develop and oversee project budgets.

Monitor expenses to maintain budgetary compliance.

Authorize invoices and manage financial records.

Technical Leadership:

Provide expert electrical guidance and ensure adherence to relevant codes and standards.

Supervise the design, installation, and testing of electrical systems.

Client Communication:

Act as the main liaison for clients, stakeholders, and vendors.

Prepare and deliver project status updates.

Organize meetings to facilitate effective communication among all parties involved.

Risk Assessment:

Identify potential risks and formulate strategies to mitigate them.

Address issues promptly to keep projects on schedule.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure all work meets established quality standards.

Conduct inspections and tests to confirm system performance and safety.

  • Troubleshoot control and power distribution systems as needed.

Documentation Management:

Safety and Compliance:

Conduct safety audits and training for the project team.

  • Monitor adherence to NEC, Arc Flash, and OSHA requirements.

Project Completion:

Oversee the finalization of project deliverables.

Ensure a smooth transition of completed projects to clients.

Conduct evaluations post-project to assess outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or higher.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
  • State Licensed Electrician.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical project management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing electrical projects from start to finish.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical systems and construction methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project management and CAD software.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities for client and stakeholder interaction.
  • Proficient in analytical and problem-solving techniques.
  • Effective time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Negotiation skills with clients and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Experience in budget management and cost forecasting.
  • Understanding of risk management practices.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes.
  • Experience with control wiring and cabling for industrial systems.
  • Experience with motor control centers and power feeds.
  • Knowledge of closed circuit camera systems and network cabling.
  • PLC experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with conduit types used in industrial settings.
  • Valid Driver's License and an additional form of identification.
  • A minimum of 10 years of industrial experience in the electrical field.
  • Experience as a crew lead or electrical supervisor.
  • Must pass a drug test prior to employment.
  • A background check may be required.
