Behavioral Therapist

Life Strategies, LLC, a leading Behavioral Health Agency, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Therapist to join our team. As a Behavior Therapist, you will work with a diverse range of clients with developmental disabilities, including autism and intellectual disabilities. Our agency provides thorough training for this position, ensuring you have the skills and knowledge to excel in this role.
About the RoleWe are looking for an individual who:
- Enjoys working with special needs populations (children – adults)
- Meets with clients on a consistent basis
- Is prompt with paperwork completion
- Will complete assessments, observations, and develop Behavior Support Plans
- Is comfortable consulting with and training caregivers or staff on behavior support plans
- Is flexible and easily adapts to new situations
- Is dependable and reliable
- Is professional and positive
- Works well with larger systems and as a team
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Possesses excellent time management and organizational skills

RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must:
- Pass all background checks required for this position
- Have 3 references
- Pass a drug screening
- Have a negative TB and drug screening test
- Provide copies of resume, driver's license, diplomas, transcripts, licenses/certifications, and other supporting documentation
This position is located primarily in Lake County with the home office being on the border of Crown Point/Schererville, Indiana.
Education and ExperienceWe require a Master's degree and 2 years of experience in Social Work. We also require the ability to relocate to La Porte, IN before starting work.
