Dietary Specialist

Bear Mountain Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nutrition Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our culinary services team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice to facility staff and establishing effective systems to operate the dietary department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement dietary and food service policies and procedures to meet residents' needs and comply with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Assist the food service supervisor in determining personnel requirements for the dietary department and making recommendations for sufficient staff.
- Develop menus to meet residents' needs and assist in assessing residents' dietary needs and developing appropriate dietary plans.
- Evaluate and make recommendations regarding the serving time of meals, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
- Ensure the Culinary Services Policy and Procedure manual is current and up-to-date.
Qualifications:
- Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association (RD) or equivalent experience.
- Computer literacy and experience in long-term care dietary guidelines and requirements.
- A genuine interest and desire to work with the senior population.
