Oncology Nurse Navigator

We are seeking a highly skilled Oncology Nurse Navigator to join our team at Providence. As an integral part of our cancer care program, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care throughout their treatment journey.
About the RoleThe Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) serves as a consistent resource for patients with cancer, providing education, support, and guidance throughout the continuum of care. This role requires a strong understanding of the multiple treatment decisions, emotional impact, and financial implications of a cancer diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities:- Triage the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and their significant others, offering intervention and referrals as needed.
- Enable patients to make informed decisions about their care by providing education and resources.
- Empower patients to participate in their personal care process, improving understanding of treatment plans and decisions.
- Facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients, ensuring seamless care coordination.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.
- Oncology experience, preferably with a minimum of 3 years in the field.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
