Role Overview:

Position: Release Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee code management, release processes, and the continuous integration and deployment lifecycle.
  • Facilitate ongoing process enhancements to support software development and quality assurance teams.
  • Promote best practices in release management and collaborate with engineering leadership to foster a creative and cooperative work environment.
  • Establish and develop the release engineering team according to staffing plans.
  • Communicate release schedules and details to relevant stakeholders as necessary.
  • Coordinate release content and efforts based on service request backlogs, pending requests, third-party applications, or system updates.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to enhance the CI/CD pipeline and its integration with code repositories, unit tests, integration and functional tests, static code analysis, SAST and DAST, build automation, and automated deployment across various environments.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • 5+ years of prior experience in release and/or project management.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in team and personnel management, leading groups of at least 5 engineers.
  • Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with Git, Azure, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
  • Experience in producing deployment documentation, run books, and implementation strategies.
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication, and presentation skills are essential.

Location: Remote
