Emergency Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a licensed professional to provide behavioral emergency level health assessments in collaboration with a medical team of physicians, registered nurses, and psychiatrists in multiple emergency rooms and medical units throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely acute psychiatric assessments and consultation in the emergency rooms served, whether on-site or via telemed equipment at outside facilities.
- Respond in a timely manner to requests for resources from the community, including individuals, physicians, community agencies, and other hospitals.
- Advise healthcare teams on complex discharge planning and next-level care and placement issues, and follow up as needed.
- Provide patient and family education on mental health topics.
- Must have a Master's degree in a relevant field and be licensed as an LCSW, LMSW, or LPC in Missouri and Kansas.
- Must be willing to cover at least 3 shifts per month.
- Must have availability for overnight, evening, and weekend shifts.
