Key Responsibilities
  • Member Engagement: Build relationships with members, help them connect with each other and the YMCA, and respond to their concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Membership Sales: Enroll new members, process membership applications, and register members in classes and programs.
  • Customer Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to members and guests, both in-person and over the phone, and resolve issues in a fair and efficient manner.
  • Facility Operations: Assist with the effective and efficient operation of the Membership Department, ensuring compliance with membership policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Attend staff meetings and trainings as required, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance job performance.

Requirements
  • Age: Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Certifications: Must obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds, and previous customer service or sales experience.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
