Job Summary

Continental Automotive Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of embedded software for the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, testing, and debugging, with a focus on classic AUTOSAR based embedded projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze customer and internal reported software failures, perform root-cause analysis, and provide solutions or assign issues to the appropriate software product owner.
  • Lead software customer technical discussions regarding supplied part software failures.
  • Provide technical support to software product owners and their teams in developing, configuring, and integrating software modules in accordance with requirements and specified software architecture.
  • Support the team in specifying and executing the software integration plan and integration test specification for embedded software, ensuring company quality guidelines are followed during development.
  • Work with project managers and technical leaders to identify engineering tasks priorities and changes of scope to ensure releases are completed on time, based on customer needs and expectations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer, or Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate, related work experience.
  • 5 years of experience in each of the following: developing embedded software for the automotive industry using embedded C, integrating software, testing software, debugging software, and resolving software problems, developing software for classic AUTOSAR based embedded projects, configuring AUTOSAR BSW modules for Diagnostic Stack, COM stack, and MEM stack, using CAN or CAN-FD automotive communication protocols, including at least 2 years of experience working in projects that implement message authentication, using automotive testing tools, including Vector CANoe, CANape, or CANalyzer, and utilizing ASPICE base practices.
  • 2 years of experience implementing Boot Loader and Application memory interaction, by defining software requirements, developing software, or performing software testing.
  • 1 year of experience leading customer communication in regards to technical SW development topics, including critical issue analysis, release timing, escalations, and risk analysis.
