The Senior Systems Administrator role takes the lead in ensuring the stable and secure operation of the MRS BPO LLC technology systems. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.
Key Responsibilities- Network Administration: Perform Windows Desktop and Windows Server Administration, Linux Server Administration (Amazon, RHEL, CentOS), Cloud Services Administration (AWS and Google), and level 3 troubleshooting on PC and Server Hardware.
- Security and Compliance: Configure and maintain Firewalls and other Security Focused Appliances, and ensure the security and integrity of the company's technology systems.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users, analyze and resolve escalated issues in a timely and professional manner, and work with other departments and clients to resolve issues.
- Business Applications: Support various business applications, and work with vendors to create an optimum balance between security, performance, and cost.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Dell PCs and Servers, experience working within a security-focused environment, comfort in telecom circuit knowledge and troubleshooting, Windows PowerShell scripting exposure, Linux administration and scripting, AWS experience (EC2, VPC, Peering, RDS, EKS), and PaloAlto firewall management experience.
- Education and Certifications: Technical School, College, or Equivalent Technical Certifications.
- Interpersonal Skills: Position requires interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision, and the ability to express complex technical concepts both verbally and in writing to all levels of management.
The position may require being on call for support, or working some weekend hours as needed. The individual must be able to meet established specific physical requirements of the job, and work in a modern, well-lit office area.
