Job Summary
The Patient Services Director will support the Food and Nutrition Department in developing and executing dining solutions to meet patient and customer needs and tastes. This individual will utilize technical training and interpret government mandated nutritional standards in the healthcare industry to develop healthy menu implementation plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient food service activities, complying with established standards and regulations.
- Lead patient service staff to ensure meals are properly prepared and delivered to patients, maintaining high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular rounds on patients and departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Oversee the diet office and the service ambassador program, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Record and maintain safety and sanitation compliance, adhering to industry standards and company policies.
- Supervise tray line operation and/or the room service program, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
Leadership and Development
- Leverage coaching models to engage and develop team members, fostering a culture of growth and development.
- Reward and recognize employees for outstanding performance and contributions.
- Ensure individual and team performance meets objectives and client expectations, driving business results and growth.
- Plan and lead daily team briefings, promoting open communication and collaboration.
- Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Client Relationship and Financial Performance
- Maintain effective client and customer rapport, building mutually beneficial business relationships.
- Identify client needs and communicate operational progress, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Deliver client and company financial targets, driving revenue growth and profitability.
- Adopt all company processes and systems, understanding performance metrics, data, order, and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins.
Productivity and Compliance
- Create value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management.
- Comply with the Operational Excellence fundamentals, meeting and maintaining food and labor initiatives.
- Ensure entire team is trained and able to execute, maintaining high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise team regarding production, quality, and control, driving business results and growth.
Qualifications
- Requires at least two years of patient food service experience and some management experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
