Education Program Manager

Job Summary:

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking an experienced Education Program Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery's (ONHS) education programs. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures, as well as accreditation standards set by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and other certifying bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration and operations of health profession education programs, including teaching and learning activities, program curriculum, learner scheduling, and program accreditation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve program quality, processes, and compliance.
  • Manage a team to design, conduct, and evaluate teaching and learning activities, scheduling, core competencies, assessment, and evaluations.
  • Collaborate with program directors, faculty, and the Graduate Medical Education (GME) office to ensure compliance with University policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including visiting professors and scholars, summer interns, and GME observerships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of lead/supervisory/manager experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to recruit faculty and integrate learners, requiring high-level planning and coordination skills.
  • Working knowledge of educational software and technologies to promote teaching and learning goals.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
