Position Overview:
The Nurse is accountable for providing safe and effective patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves delivering direct patient care within the established scope of practice.

The Nurse will also oversee and guide patient and family education, as well as the activities of other nursing staff, while upholding the standards of care in the maternity unit.

It is essential to utilize the appropriate channels of communication to ensure the well-being of patients and the suitability of care provided to mothers and newborns during both antepartum and postpartum periods.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is preferred.
- Basic Fetal Monitoring certification within 60 days of hire and maintenance of current status.
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification within 12 months.
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification is preferred.
