Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist

Cleveland Clinic Florida - Weston is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist to join our team. As a CVOR Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of cardiovascular surgeries, working closely with our experienced surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain cardiovascular surgical equipment, including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and other specialized equipment.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure accurate and timely setup of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Provide technical support during surgical procedures, including assisting with patient positioning, draping, and other necessary tasks.
- Participate in the cleaning and disinfection of the operating room, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Assist with the transportation of patients to and from the operating room, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including patient information, surgical notes, and equipment usage.
- 18 months of experience as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist or related field.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of concentration and attention to detail during surgical procedures.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies as needed.
- 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist or related field.
- National certification in Surgical Technology (NBSTSA/NCCT) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Cleveland Clinic Florida - Weston is a 230-bed short-term acute care hospital located in Weston, Florida. We are a teaching hospital and a Magnet-designated facility, providing exceptional patient care and a supportive work environment for our staff.
