Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic Florida - Weston is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist to join our team. As a CVOR Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of cardiovascular surgeries, working closely with our experienced surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for surgical procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain cardiovascular surgical equipment, including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and other specialized equipment.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure accurate and timely setup of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Provide technical support during surgical procedures, including assisting with patient positioning, draping, and other necessary tasks.
  • Participate in the cleaning and disinfection of the operating room, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Assist with the transportation of patients to and from the operating room, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including patient information, surgical notes, and equipment usage.
Requirements
  • 18 months of experience as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist or related field.
  • National certification in surgical technology (NBSTSA/NCCT) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
