Position Overview: Sourcing Analyst

Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a Sourcing Analyst to support a leading global specialty retail holding company.

Employment Type: Contract/Hybrid

Location: Manhattan, NY

Compensation: $33-$39/hr, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cross-functional assistance for all initiatives aimed at reducing the cost of goods sold (COGS).
  • Identify and leverage the full potential and cost efficiency of both current and prospective vendors.
  • Define initiatives with competitive pricing, cost analysis, and opportunity validation.
  • Manage projects related to COGS initiatives to ensure effective advancement.
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions for value engineering (VE) with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Evaluate and address cost increase requests while supporting negotiation efforts.
  • Maintain and update COGS Initiative Tracking in collaboration with Beauty Operations and Brand partners.
  • Work with initiative owners to align unit volumes, rates, and timelines while monitoring overall progress.
  • Document actual results and reconcile initiatives with Price Point Variance and/or Average Unit Cost.
  • Assist in the dissemination of results in alignment with monthly finance meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Highly organized, motivated, and an exceptional communicator.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Project Management or COGS reduction.
  • Knowledge of the Beauty Industry.
