Clinical Nutrition Therapist

About the Role
As a highly skilled Clinical Nutrition Therapist at Confluence Health, you will play a vital role in providing medical nutrition therapy for patients of all ages. This position requires a strong understanding of behavior modification and its relationship with nutrition throughout various stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Ambitiously assesses the nutritional needs of patients and identifies specific nutrient requirements based on their disease state and age.
- Showcases an exceptional understanding of behavior modification and its relationship with nutrition throughout various stages.
- Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions while ensuring continuity of care across different settings.
- Presents timely and effective nutritional care and education to patients and families in assigned areas according to established policies and procedures.
- Collaborates closely with interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality nutrition care to patients.
- Leverages expertise to teach Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab classes, community education classes, staff education sessions, and potentially cooking classes or multimedia venues.
- Maintains accurate chart notes as per organizational policy.
- May involve Rehab or Outpatient nutrition services.
- Participates actively in LEAN performance improvement and research activities.
- Required to maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field (or Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field with completed internship before 12/31/2023).
- Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Washington State Certified Dietitian (CD) - may apply upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification and Washington State Food Handlers Permit.
- WA DOH Medical Assistant Registered License (apply after hire).
- Proficiency in Windows navigation and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
Estimated Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
