Bakery Team Leader Job Description

As a Bakery Team Leader at Whole Foods Market, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership to the bakery team. Your primary goal will be to ensure the success of the bakery department by driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Bakery Team: Supervise and motivate the bakery team to achieve sales targets, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the bakery department, including inventory management, product preparation, and presentation.
  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Analyze sales data and develop strategies to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Provide training and development opportunities to team members to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the management of inventory and supplies, including ordering, receiving, and stocking.
  • Ensure Food Safety and Quality: Maintain a high level of food safety and quality in the bakery department, including adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 24+ Months Retail Experience: Must have at least 24 months of retail experience, including 12+ months of team leadership experience.
  • Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills: Must have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and develop strategies to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. Must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
