Job Description

Abacus is seeking a highly skilled Training Curriculum Developer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and developing training content for system users, support staff, and trainers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop training curricula for ERP systems
  • Conduct training sessions in person and remotely
  • Develop and maintain classroom techniques that reflect professionalism and good discipline
  • Develop alternative teaching techniques and scenarios to maintain high motivation and interest in the subject areas
  • Conduct test analysis and development or revision of test items
  • Collaborate with a team of Training Specialists in technical and system curriculum delivery, revision, and maintenance
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs, including web-based and instructor-led courses, job-aids, videos, etc.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids
  • Assist with formatting training materials created by other team members as requested
  • Research and recommend vendors and costs for various training methods
  • Stay current with developments in computer training field, especially alternative media/methods for instruction

Requirements:

  • 8 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing training curricula
  • 8 years of experience conducting training sessions in person and remotely
  • At least 4 years of experience with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio)
  • At least 4 years of experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 ERP system
  • Experience working with a public sector organization (Federal, State, or Local Government)
  • Experience working with the Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) CAPPS Financials
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Experience with Jira
  • Experience working with the Scrum framework

Working Conditions:

  • Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through Abacus
  • Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed
  • The primary work location(s) will be at Abacus
  • Any and all travel, per diem, parking, and/or living expenses shall be at the Candidate's and/or Vendor's expense
