Core Curriculum Manager

Oversee the development and implementation of the University's core curriculum, ensuring alignment with academic goals and policies. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to maintain the integrity of the core and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide administrative support for the Academics Curriculum Advisory Committee and the Core Curriculum Advisory Committee, preparing materials and meeting summaries, maintaining membership lists, and serving as primary contact and filter.

Participate in the review of student petitions for core course credit, implementing petition decisions in the degree audit system and maintaining core overrides. Analyze overrides for potential degree policy recommendations and provide reports, compliance updates, and notice of core course list changes to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and others.

Collaborate with the Academic Affairs assessment team in the ongoing process of core curriculum assessment, examining evidence of student demonstration of prescribed core competencies in each core component area. Work with the Core Curriculum Advisory Committee to review rubric and competencies, connect with departments to determine faculty participants, work with faculty members to identify student work for assessment, assist the assessment team with rating of student work, and report final results back to departments, university leadership, and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
