Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Integrations and Financial Applications manager, this role is pivotal in the development of applications through all stages of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to:

  • Analyze, design, and construct application specifications utilizing the Angular framework, NestJS, and MongoDB, with a preference for candidates experienced in Drupal.
  • Engage in back-end development tasks when necessary, employing microservices architectures such as Micronaut.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow developers and business analysts to facilitate discovery sessions and gather requirements within an agile development framework.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices in information technology, community standards, and relevant policies.
  • Work closely with campus stakeholders to address a variety of challenges, demonstrating proficiency in selecting appropriate tools and methodologies to achieve desired outcomes.

Meeting and Collaboration:
This position entails scheduling, presenting, and leading discussions with application stakeholders and the ITS leadership team.

Work Environment:
This role is primarily remote, with occasional on-campus visits as necessary. Working hours will align with Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Compensation:
The salary range for the Software Engineer position is between $71,100 and $128,700 annually, with a targeted pay scale of up to $115,000 annually. Salary offers will be determined based on various factors, including education, certifications, experience, and organizational needs.

Employment Requirements:
Applicants must possess valid work authorization to accept a staff position. Sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this role.
