Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer with experience in both front-end and back-end development. The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating user-friendly products and GUIs, with additional experience in frameworks such as Dash and PyQt.

The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new product features, ensuring scalable, secure, and performant solutions. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting and testing, developing and maintaining unit tests with a high degree of code coverage, and performing code reviews on other team members' pull requests.

Additionally, the candidate will work on and assist with DevOps tasks, ensuring that our applications are robust and scalable. They will also develop and refine both web and desktop application interfaces and dashboards alongside robust server-side components, including APIs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of back-end development using languages such as Python, Rust, Java, Node.js, or C++. They will also have experience creating intuitive user interfaces and GUIs, familiarity with Dash/Streamlit and Qt/PyQt, and knowledge of cloud services, particularly Azure, and experience with SQL databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new product features
  • Develop and maintain unit tests with a high degree of code coverage
  • Perform code reviews on other team members' pull requests
  • Work on and assist with DevOps tasks
  • Develop and refine both web and desktop application interfaces and dashboards
  • Utilize observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana to monitor database performance metrics
  • Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate access controls, backup strategies, and compliance measures
  • Work closely with software development teams to integrate database solutions with applications
  • Document database designs, optimization strategies, and maintenance procedures
  • Stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of industry experience as a Full Stack Software Developer or similar role
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks
  • Strong understanding of back-end development using languages such as Python, Rust, Java, Node.js, or C++
  • Experience creating intuitive user interfaces and GUIs
  • Familiarity with Dash/Streamlit and Qt/PyQt
  • Knowledge of cloud services, particularly Azure, and experience with SQL databases
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
