Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Bakery Associate to join our team at Military Deli and Bakery Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and assisting with various deli and bakery tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for our military customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with slicing deli meats and cheeses, preparing custom party trays, and making sandwiches to customer specifications.
  • Stock and organize displays, including helping with shipments as needed.
  • Ensure proper sanitation of equipment and food handling/preparation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
  • Effective and friendly communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.
  • Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time.
  • Team player.
  • Grocery, food service, or retail experience a plus.
  • Some weekend shifts are required.
