Pediatric Clinic LPN Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our pediatric clinic team at San Juan Regional Medical Center. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care to our young patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized patient care under the supervision of the RN and maintain clinical competency appropriate for the area of practice.
  • Collaborate with the RN to implement, evaluate, and document the care of assigned patients.
  • Understand and follow policy and procedure.
  • Meet licensure requirements.
  • Be responsive to current safety and quality initiatives and sustain improvement.
  • Build productive interpersonal relationships in every encounter.
  • Actively participate in the department.
  • Proactively seek continued growth and development.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing of New Mexico.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • IV Certification.
  • Must obtain RN within three (3) years.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Obtain Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within five (5) years.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to see with corrective eyewear and hear clearly with assistance.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist frequently.
  • Must be able to lift greater than fifty (50) pounds and push up to three hundred (300) pounds frequently.
  • Potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
