General Position Summary:
The Visual Merchandising Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the Visual Merchandising Manager by developing seasonal Visual Merchandising Guides for various concepts. This position involves close collaboration with the manager to assist in the planning, direction, and execution of visual documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop seasonal Visual Merchandising Guides for multiple concepts using InDesign.
- Oversee and communicate visual timelines through the Visual Calendar.
- Foster strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive direction and provide recommendations to Merchandise Planning, Buying, and Store Operations teams.
- Facilitate the flow of information and documentation with the Store Operations team.
- Create distribution lists for all in-store campaign signage.
- Manage asset lists for all campaign signage.
- Track quotes and invoices related to in-store signage.
- Collaborate with print vendors for logistical needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Education:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks/projects while adhering to deadlines.
- Proactive in identifying optimal solutions and enhancing efficiency.
- Adaptability to changing business trends and project requirements.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Education:
- Experience in a retail environment is preferred.
- Strong creative aesthetic sense.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
Physical/Travel Requirements:
- To fulfill the essential functions of this role, the employee must meet the following physical demands: frequently required to sit, talk, or hear; occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
- This position entails less than 20% travel.
