Facilities Maintenance Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician I to join our team at Abbott Laboratories. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine repairs and maintenance on facilities and facility-related equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair building structures, fixtures, and furniture.
- Renovate facilities, including walls, doors, windows, flooring, etc.
- Assist in packing, moving, and reconfiguring the facility, including office and manufacturing areas.
- Escort and assist outside vendors in the performance of their contractual obligations.
- Maintain work records.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and materials.
- Respond to alarm or trouble calls as required.
- Perform and document routine maintenance actions.
- Perform and document assigned workorder requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in a Facilities role.
- Prior Trades experience.
- Troubleshooting experience.
