Waste Management Specialist

**Job Summary**
Casella Waste Systems is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Waste Management Specialist to join our team at our Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Scarborough, ME. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for sorting and processing recyclable materials, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Sort and process recyclable materials in a safe and efficient manner
- Inspect and identify various materials, including paper, plastic, glass, and metal
- Operate equipment and machinery to facilitate the sorting process
- Perform cleaning duties and maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Report system problems and maintain a high level of safety awareness
**Requirements**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials
- Must be legally eligible to work in the US
