Inpatient Pharmacy Technician
Cayuga Health System is committed to delivering outstanding healthcare services to the community. We are currently in search of a proficient Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy operations. This position entails aiding pharmacists with various responsibilities associated with the preparation and distribution of medications.
Key Responsibilities:- Acquiring and dispensing medications as requested.
- Restocking medications in dispensing units.
- Compounding intravenous admixtures and other sterile products.
- Repackaging bulk medications into unit-dose formats.
- Assisting with the ordering, receiving, and replenishing of medications and supplies.
- Conducting inspections of medication storage areas and replacing expired medications.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Certification from a nationally recognized pharmacy technician program.
- Acquisition of New York State licensure for Registered Pharmacy Technicians within the initial employment period.
- 2-3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
- This is an onsite position.
- Shift Information: Monday to Friday, Saturday/Sunday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM; Saturday/Sunday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (rotating shifts).
