Job Description

Position Purpose:

A Financial Services Representative is responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships while utilizing a consultative approach to provide solutions that meet the financial needs of new and existing customers. The representative also provides sales, service, and operational support to the retail banking team, demonstrating Civista Bank's commitment to improving the financial lives of our customers and making a positive impact in the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Engage with customers daily to build strong relationships, processing transactions, assessing needs, and recommending products to create an exceptional customer experience.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of financial products and services to fulfill customer needs, opening new accounts, performing maintenance, meeting sales goals, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Emphasize personal growth through continuous learning, adapting to new procedures and systems to drive business growth and team success.
  • Ensure operational tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Deliver customer requests with speed and accuracy.
  • Maintain cash levels and outages within established guidelines.
  • Foster consistent communication internally and externally.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures to ensure customer and bank safety and soundness.
  • Encourage the use of technology in daily banking interactions, including educating customers on mobile banking, online banking, and other digital tools.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of previous banking experience required.
  • Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work under deadlines and frequent interruptions.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Above-average knowledge of technology and willingness to adapt to new software technologies.
  • Ability to work under deadlines with frequent interruptions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work involves eye strain due to prolonged computer screen use and report reading.
  • Work involves concentrating on tasks under sometimes distracting conditions.
  • Work involves lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Work involves reading, hearing, writing, and communicating professionally in person and via phone.
  • Work involves occasional travel for meetings, training, and other business purposes.
