Physician Assistant Nephrology Job Description

Boson Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to deliver exceptional quality care to our patients. The position involves two primary roles. Approximately half of the time is spent in our outpatient vascular access center in Clear Lake, where you will be responsible for:

  • Vascular access pre-op and post-op procedures
  • Vein mapping and ultrasound readings
  • Interventional nephrology procedures
  • History and physicals, as well as follow-up visits for research patients
  • Nephrology clinic rounds

The other half of the job is spent in the Med Center area, conducting dialysis rounds to monitor patient progress and address any needs. This is a full-time salaried position with benefits, including CMEs and malpractice coverage. The role does not require weekends or call, and mileage reimbursement is included for travel during the day to dialysis clinics.

Qualifications
  • Current Physician Assistant license
  • Current BLS certificate
  • Current DEA and DPS certificate
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of clinical processes, community agencies, professional programs, and resources
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulations
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
  • Advanced assessment, consultative, and teaching skills
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
