Back Up Line Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Back Up Line Controller. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing lines, maintaining high-quality standards, and contributing to our company's success.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the production line by ensuring all employees are working together to achieve goals and maintain production line efficiencies.
- Monitor machine, labels, film, and sandwiches to produce a high-quality product at efficient manufacturing levels.
- Complete work orders according to standards and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in opening rejects, following written procedures, and focusing on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Fill line sanitizer hand dip stations prior to startup and empty/refill sanitizer at breaks or when it becomes cloudy.
- Follow good manufacturing rules, such as sanitizing hands and not touching the floor.
- Contribute to Lean activities and work with production employees, supervisors, leads, and mechanics to assemble the lowest-cost, highest-quality product possible.
- Scans all materials to assigned work orders, safely operate all line equipment according to recipe line speeds and standard work, and assist in preparing the production line for startup.
- Inspect all sandwiches to ensure they are properly prepared for final packaging and labeling.
- Quickly identify and address any deviations resulting from employees not following standard work on the line.
- Adjust equipment speed when necessary to maintain quality products and efficient production.
- Verify accuracy of material scans to work orders and document start and end times of each period.
- Properly turn off equipment before breaks and at the end of the day.
- Must be at least 18 years old to operate equipment.
- Require High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Require previous assembly work and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Must have mechanical aptitude working with machinery.
- Must be meeting or exceeding standards in current production position for a minimum of 6 months (for internal applicants).
- Must be able to read and effectively communicate in English.
- Must be able to moderately lift 50 lbs.
- Previous food-related experience.
- Must be able to be on feet majority of the day.
- Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push, pull.
- Must be able to reach overhead moderately.
- Must be able to moderately lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to keep up with manufacturing speeds.
- Must be able to work in cool conditions.
- Must be able to properly perform and rotate to all positions on the line.
