Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
- Prepare and maintain operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring accurate patient identification and verification of surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.
- Count and verify surgical sponges, needles, and instruments, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician in an Operating Room setting.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate (CST) or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of a surgical technologist course or comparable experience.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
