Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Source and procure necessary ingredients and packaging for production while adhering to budgetary limits and quality standards.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and timely deliveries.
3. Collaborate closely with scheduling, plant operations, and finance teams to synchronize procurement strategies with production timelines and financial objectives.
4. Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock, optimizing inventory management and reducing carrying costs.5. Work with cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements, ensuring effective communication and alignment of procurement activities with production needs, product modifications, and new product introductions.
6. Address and resolve any delivery or invoicing discrepancies with suppliers.7. Conduct regular inventory audits for stock items.
8. Maintain accurate pricing and delivery information in the ERP/MRP system.
9. Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in procurement, ideally within the food or consumer packaged goods sector
High School diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
