About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Contract Administration Manager to join our team at REI Engineers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing critical support to project managers in administering contracts for various projects. Your expertise in contract administration will enable you to review and verify submittals, attend pre-construction meetings, and perform construction monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Work Responsibilities
    • Conduct building envelope assessments to identify existing material conditions, quantities, sizes, and develop repair scopes and estimates for proposals and reports.
    • Perform documented assessments or investigations of existing conditions, which may include destructive openings, specialized water/air or smoke testing, moisture/capacitance/infrared surveys.
  • Contract Administration Duties
    • Review contractors' project submittals.
    • Attend and document preconstruction meetings with project managers, contractors, and owners' representatives to review projects, goals, expectations, owners' restrictions, and schedules.
    • Perform periodic construction monitoring during the work to ensure contractors' work follows contract documents and communicate observed deficiencies with the contractor for resolution.
    • Review observation reports and validate observations with contract documents and approved contractor submittals.
    • Document and discuss conditions that may result in a Change Order with project managers.
    • Document RFIs during project implementation, while engaging project managers or engineers for assistance or clarification.
    • Assist project managers with identifying, evaluating, and implementing potential solutions to resolve conflicts identified during the work.
    • Assist project managers with collecting project closeout documents and preparing project closeout packages.
  • Physical and Environmental Demands
    • Sufficient physical ability to perform moderate lifting (approximately 50 pounds maximum).
    • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
    • Ability to climb ladders.
    • Work is primarily outside.
