Polysomnographic Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Children's National Hospital. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs.
- Perform comprehensive sleep studies, including overnight polysomnography, Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), and Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT).
- Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards.
- Recognize patient's medical problems and physiological events and implement appropriate interventions.
- Document history, medications, treatments, procedures, and teach appropriately in accordance with departmental and hospital policies.
- Polysomnographic Technologist License/Registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist in the District of Columbia.
- Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
- American Board of Sleep Medicine as a Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS).
This is a night shift position, and the successful candidate will be required to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
