About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Texas Health HEB. As a CST, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our operating rooms.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing peri-operative care for patients of all ages, including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Preoperatively assist RN circulators in formulating plans of care and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Post-operatively follow proper procedures for care of instruments, supplies, and equipment, and assist RN circulators with post-operative duties as needed.
  • Participate in infection prevention and safety protocols to minimize the risk of transfer of infection and accidental contamination.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide age-specific care and demonstrate competence in assisting with the performance of age-appropriate patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program, or military training program in surgical technology.
  • 1 year of current operating room experience preferred, with Labor and Delivery experience also preferred.
  • CST certification or LVN licensure required, with BCSL certification also required prior to providing independent patient care.
