Role & Responsibilities:


Designs enhancements and modifications to facilities and equipment, preparing all estimates, engineering drawings, and specifications for projects of moderate complexity.

Assesses utility systems and develops long-term cost and usage analyses. Manages project scheduling and coordination with clients, maintenance teams, construction staff, and external contractors.

Oversees and approves work by external contractors to ensure compliance with specifications, construction codes, and timelines; conducts final inspections and recommends payment approvals.

Contributes to the facility's operational and capital budgets.
Maintains comprehensive records regarding project progress and expenditures.
Takes full accountability for delivering projects within budget constraints.
May provide mentorship to junior engineers.

Evaluates plant equipment requirements, identifies suitable equipment, and generates purchase requisitions and approvals for necessary equipment.


Expertise Required:
In-depth understanding of engineering principles, theories, and concepts. Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations, as well as best practices in facility engineering.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Delivers innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges in electrical, mechanical, and other facility-related projects that demand significant analytical skills.

Demonstrates sound judgment and resolves challenging issues. Capable of fostering cooperative and productive relationships with colleagues to achieve project goals.

Work Autonomy:
Operates with moderate supervision. Guidance primarily pertains to overarching objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Exercises significant discretion in developing new ideas or methods to enhance job performance or complete assigned tasks. Assignments may be self-initiated.

Project Coordination:
Manages resources, prioritizes tasks, and sets schedules to fulfill assignments. Ensures alignment of plans with budgetary constraints and overall team objectives. Demonstrates leadership and commitment to quality throughout project execution. Communicates project status promptly to relevant stakeholders.

Collaboration:
Engages in frequent interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

May represent the organization in discussions with regulatory and public utility authorities regarding construction codes, safety regulations, and environmental services.

Acts as a technical representative for the department.

Business Impact:
Contributes to the successful achievement of project goals or significantly enhances company or departmental objectives through the development of new or improved facilities, equipment, materials, processes, and manufacturing methods.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of three years of experience in maintenance engineering, manufacturing, or the Oil & Gas sector.
High energy level and a strong sense of urgency.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Sound business and technical judgment.

Ability to manage multiple priorities across various tasks.
