About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Tech 1 to join our team at Inova Fairfax Hospital. As a key member of our sterile processing department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble instrumentation accurately and efficiently, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Ensure the sterility of all processed items, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Decontaminate instruments in a safe and appropriate manner, following established protocols.
  • Manage instrument inventory, ensuring timely distribution to all customers and maintaining accurate records.
  • Understand basic computer functions to assist in documentation and tracking of inventory, supporting the team's efforts to optimize efficiency.
  • Inspect instruments to ensure they are free from bio-burden and in proper working condition, prior to assembling sets according to count sheets.
