Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure the prompt and accurate delivery of medications to patients in accordance with the pharmacy laws of the State of Texas and the policy and procedures of the department of Pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of sterile and non-sterile preparations of liquids and solid dosage forms
  • Care of supplies and equipment
  • Adherence to and participation in the quality improvement program of the department
  • Accurate and efficient execution of outpatient policies and procedures
  • Consistent ability to keep up with patient workload
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Good rapport and cooperative working relationship with others
  • Ensuring production and distribution of IV solutions and other sterile products in accordance with departmental policies and procedure
  • Promotion of positive customer service with internal and external customers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School Graduate/GED
  • State Registration Pharmacy Technician
