Electrical Assembler Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler to join our team at Point Eight Power. As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling electrical components and devices onto pans and into enclosures, following drawing packages, assembly guides, and instructions defined by the Engineering Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble electrical components and devices onto pans and into enclosures, following drawing packages, assembly guides, and instructions defined by the Engineering Department.
  • Prep and install electrical components, switches, meters, breaker cells, breakers, nameplates, sensors, etc.
  • Perform daily tasks with safe and proper use of equipment and tools.
  • Interpret and apply advanced electrical manufacturing knowledge and principles while reading specifications to make determinations on component parts, methods, sequencing, and advising team members and departments of errors to technical drawings as a means of proactive quality measures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards and best practices.
  • Maintain operational excellence by completing necessary paperwork such as Discrepancy Lists, Quality Check Lists, QCP Deficiencies, Shop Drawing Corrections, NCR's.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience assembling electrical switchboards from a drawing package in our manufacturing facility.
  • 3 years of experience working in an electrical apprenticeship, as an electronic repairman, or HVAC installer, preferred.
  • Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Active Listening — The ability to give full attention to when others speak and taking time to understand the points being made.
  • Verbal & Written Communication Skills - The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand and the ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
