Senior Surgical Tech Float- Perioperative Float Pool- F/T, Day Shift

UCI Health is the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, and the only academic health system based in Orange County.
We provide tertiary and quaternary care and are home to Orange County's only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center, high-risk perinatal/neonatal program, and American College of Surgeons-verified Level I adult and Level II pediatric trauma center.
Your Role on the TeamThe Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room. This includes preparing and stocking the OR before and after surgery, gathering clean and sterile supplies, setting sterile instrument fields, maintaining and monitoring aseptic techniques, assisting with the orientation of new staff, and participating on departmental committees.
This role requires floating between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed.

Required Qualifications- Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology
- Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility
- Possession of a national Scrub Technician certification
- Basic Life Support
