Job Overview:



The Lab Security Administrator role is a critical position within our organization, supporting the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) in Aberdeen, MD.



Responsibilities:



Key responsibilities include:




  • Opening and securing the lab to ensure a safe and secure environment for our employees and visitors.
  • Conducting regular audits of lab access logs to maintain compliance with security protocols.
  • Greeting and escorting guests throughout the lab to ensure their safety and security.
  • Supporting program and site security as required to maintain the lab's security posture.
  • Ensuring security paperwork exists for all visitors and completing lab visitor forms for all visitors.
  • Maintaining a secure database with up-to-date security access information.
  • Using a web-based tool to track the movement of equipment through the lab.
  • Helping to prevent unauthorized electronic devices from entering the lab.
  • Adhering to established security and safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Scanning and maintaining accountability of lab inventory.


Requirements:



To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • A Bachelor's degree with three (3) years of relevant experience; or four (4) years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • An active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance (US Citizenship required).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Department of defense experience required.


Preferred Qualifications:



A SCIF security experience is preferred.

Compensation:



The estimated salary for this position is $40,001 - $80,000, based on experience and other factors.
